This seminar is a 3-part series that will address a number of hot topics that all Minnesota providers need to know.
Part 1 Session
Effective January 1, 2015 all Minnesota Providers are required to utilize an interoperable electronic health records system. As a result of this requirement, providers will need to maintain strict protocols for Security Risk Assessment and procedures to prevent a breach of electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI). This seminar will guide you through the HIPAA requirements to stay compliant with electronic documentation, disaster protocols, and security practices in the chiropractic office.
Part 2 Session
An open forum with Dr. Richard and Leann Ottomeyer will provide the lasted updates on ICD-10 implementation strategies in a “post-conversion” world. They will discuss road blacks and barriers you may be experiencing, offer a brief refresher on ICD-10 coding basics in the chiropractic practice, and answer your questions about the conversion.
Part 3 Session
Congress has repealed the Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate and replaced it with a “Pay for Performance” plan—officially known as House Resolution Bill 2 (HR 2). This legislative change will significantly affect the future of healthcare reimbursement in all fields, especially chiropractic. Dr. Dennis Rodden will discuss the changes that are coming, He will also provide strategies for navigating the changing face of healthcare in the chiropractic office and discuss federal requirements for compliance in operating an integrated multi-specialty health center.
