Attendees will learn:
1.     How to assess the patient for trans-neural degeneration and based on the complete thorough neurological exam what and how to adjust to maximize cellular immediate early gene response and response to the adjustments.
2.     Several advance techniques that can be implement as soon as they go home
3.     Some up to date information on functional neurology.
 
 
1.      Credits for CE for animal chiropractic courses, and human chiropractic courses shall not be intermixed, nor shall one be applied to the other. Courses offered/approved for animal chiropractic shall be used only for credits related to animal chiropractic, and those offered/approved for human chiropractic shall be used only for credits related to human chiropractic.  By way of example, the currently contemplated course of 8 hours in animal chiropractic may only be used to satisfy the 6 hour animal chiropractic requirements for current registrants. The balance (2 hours) may not be applied to human chiropractic requirements.
2.      Participation in this course will not authorize any participants to perform services on animals. Before providing any services to animals, the chiropractor must be properly registered with the board, which would only follow successful completion of the (minimum) 210 hour approved course.
3.      Participation in these CE programs shall not be considered as part of the 210 program requirement. Those hours can only be acquired by active enrollment and successful completion of a course within a Board approved institution/program.

The Healing Oasis Wellness Center is a nationally accredited educational institution dedicated to the advancement and teaching of the knowledge base in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy; Advanced Neurology in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation; Veterinary Massage and Rehabilitation Therapy. The Healing Oasis Wellness Center is also committed to providing up-to-date continuing education on different aspects of the above said programs.

The Healing Oasis Wellness Center will strive and search for approval by higher Educational Boards at the state and national level.

Speakers:

Pedro Luis Rivera, DVM, FACFN graduated from Purdue University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He has been practicing integrative veterinary medicine and in particular Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy with functional neurology emphasis for the last 20 years. Dr Rivera is a Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology and an international speaker on functional neurology and spinal manipulation. Dr Rivera and Michelle Rivera are the program directors and owners of the Healing Oasis Wellness Center, a nationally accredited and recognized school (under the US Dept of Education) providing state approved post-graduate certification programs (under the Educational Approval Board of Wisconsin) for licensed professionals. All programs are also approved for CEU’s by the AAVSB-RACE. Dr. Rivera and Michelle Rivera are also owners of the Healing Oasis Veterinary Hospital offering veterinary spinal manipulation, massage, rehabilitation therapy, Chinese & western herbology to all of the patients that seek their help.  Dr. Rivera is currently enrolled in the Carrick Institute, Diplomat Neurology program and is the program director for the Advanced Neurology – VSMT certification program (700hrs long) offered at the Healing Oasis.

Michelle Riveria, M.T., V.D.T.: Michelle received her massage therapy training from The Chi Energy Center in Madison, WI. She successfully finished the Chinese herbology course work from the Wisconsin Institute of Chinese Herbology and has added these modalities to the array of services that she and Dr. Rivera have been offering to their patients and clients at their veterinary hospital since 1993. She has been practicing Feng Shui fro the last 8 years. She is the main instructor of the state approved Veterinary Chinese Herbology program that is offered at The Healing Oasis Wellness Center and a national speaker regarding these subjects.
