Dr. Charles Sawyer receives the John Allenburg Meritorious Award

The Minnesota Chiropractic Association (MCA) presented Dr. Charles Sawyer, Senior Vice President of Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) with the “John Allenburg Meritorious Award.”
The Allenburg award recognizes those who provide continued service and dedication to the chiropractic profession through academic and political leadership. In his current role as Senior Vice President, Dr. Sawyer serves on the MCA Legislative Committee and represents the university as a member of the Minnesota Provider Coalition.
Dr. Sawyer began his career as an Associate Clinic Director with Northwestern and has worked in numerous capacities since that time, including Assistant Dean of Clinic Development, Dean of Academic Affairs, founding Director of Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, Academic Dean, Senior Vice President and Provost.
In his spare time, he enjoys boating on the Mississippi River with his wife Kathy, and coaches youth ice hockey in St. Paul.
