By now you all should be aware of the changes occurring with the Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) MN network. Specific communications have been sent by both BCBSMN and the new network management company, SecureCareMN.
We would like to add some clarification.
The MCA was not involved with the negotiation. The negotiation was completely between BCBSMN and SecureCare. This decision was not up to MCA, but we believe this program will provide the best results for all involved.
You do not have to be an MCA member to be part of SecureCare.
You do not need to use Infinedi as your clearinghouse. You can continue to use the EDI of your choice.
While we understand that change can be disruptive, we believe the outcome will be positive for both chiropractic patients and providers. Since the change was announced, we have held public meetings at our annual convention and plan to hold several town hall meetings throughout the state. Our main goal is to assist all affected chiropractors, so that they can effectively transition into the SecureCareMN program.
Many of you may still have questions, in addition to the upcoming town hall meetings we have developed an area of our website dedicated to the SecureCareMN program. Helpful tips and links, key dates, and FAQ sheets are available on the MCA website.
We encourage any who are having difficulties to contact us. We are here to help as best we can!
I was told at the MCA convention that Secure care would contact us to get on board with them. I have not received anything from them. Should we have been contacted by them by now?
