|Featured - Back Pain|
Up to 80 percent of Americans will suffer with back pain at some point in their lives. If you’re among them, you’re not alone, and in addition to its negative effects on employee productivity, back pain treatment accounts for about $50 billion annually in health care costs—making it one of the top 10 most costly conditions treated in the United States.
But there is help. Doctors of chiropractic (DCs)—often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians—practice a drug-free, noninvasive approach to back pain that treats the whole person and addresses the root of the problem, not just the symptoms. DCs provide highly skilled adjustments as well as therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, in addition to nutritional and lifestyle counseling, which are key to managing and preventing pain.
