Translating Chinese Medicine: Ancient Concepts for a Modern Medicine

Interested in learning more about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) but felt the language and concepts too foreign to grasp? This seminar seeks to provide an introductory translation of terms, concepts, and theories established in TCM that may relate directly to your clinical practice and enhance your clinical reasoning skills. We will tackle TCM history, yin/yang and other foundational theories, similarities between Innate and Qi, diagnosis, common pathologies, and how to introduce and integrate acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to your Chiropractic clinical practice. This is a perfect opportunity to ask those burning questions to a doctor who works in both medicines. Join us for what will be an enlightening conversation.

Brain Health in a Holistic Chiropractic Clinic

Cognitive Decline (CD) and its associated conditions, including Alzheimer’s Disease, are swiftly becoming a top 5 killer of otherwise healthy individuals in the United States. Top 5! These progressive degenerative conditions steal the most precious thing any of us have – our cognitive function! We’ll trace the roots of CD all the way back to their genetic predispositions and lifestyle beginnings, then organize the medical literature in a way that points us toward identifying the mechanisms of action and a resultant way forward. Cognitive Decline was a scary thing in the 90’s and with much research, toil, and application we are seeing a different hope, a different outcome, and a different interpretation of the literature. Very exciting times in the Natural Healthcare world and I am excited to present on such an impactful topic.

  1. Identify and understand the historical context with which we viewed cognitive decline.
  2. Appreciate how the research has changed both our understanding of the problem and the generation of solutions.
  3. Observe the space that holistic chiropractic fills in the creation of healthy lifestyles that combat cognitive decline.

Get exposure to the nature of the disease process and how it responds to Innate Intelligence.
