Join us at the State Capitol to meet with lawmakers about the critical issues that affect you and your patients.

Review our 2019 Legislative Agenda

Your voice at the Capitol is important — in fact, it’s vital for the success of your legislative agenda!

Dr. Chuck Sawyer will again schedule appointments on behalf of attendees with Minnesota House and Senate members and we will provide you with information focused on our legislative priorities surrounding:

  • Health Care Provider Tax.
  • No Fault Automobile Insurance
  • Modifying coverage of chiropractic services in Minnesota’s Medical Assistance program
  • Role of Chiropractic in the Management of Acute and Chronic Pain
  • And more…

New this year! Following the capitol visits, lunch will be provided while we hold the MCA 2019 Annual Business Meeting, and three (3) CE credits will be offered in the afternoon featuring speakers Dr. Timothy Mick and Jeff Murray.

Cost: $40

Annual Meeting will be in the morning with accredited sessions (3 CEs total) in the afternoon.

Speaker: Timothy Mick, DC, DACBR

Title: Diagnostic Imaging: Case Studies and Clinical Corrections (2 X-Ray CEs)

Description: A variety of Imaging case studies with clinical correlations from multiple chiropractic practices.

Learning objectives:

  1. Review imaging anatomy and various pathologies.
  2. Discuss utilization of imaging in chiropractic practice
  3. Discuss imaging options, including MRI

Speaker: Jeffrey Murray, Attorney

Title: Chiropractic Ethics & Boundaries (1 Professional Boundary CE)

Description: A discussion of the rules and laws regulating chiropractors regarding fraud, runners, fee splitting, misleading advertising, as well as in depth look of how failing to practice ethically can affect your ability to practice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review the applicable Minnesota State laws and rules governing chiropractic ethics.
  2. Discussion of the public policy goals behind the rules.
  3. In depth look into real case examples of chiropractic ethics violations.

CE Credits: 3
