We will also have a hands on portion that will give you live scenarios of concussions that will prepare you to evaluate and manage concussions whether you are on the field or in your office helping a patient return to activity. Course Instructors

Scott Mooring, DC, CCSP— Speaker and Organizer of training course

Dr. Mooring is a board certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. He currently practices in a private chiropractic practice, is a Team Chiropractor for the University of Minnesota and teaches elective courses at Northwestern Health Sciences University. He has experience in sports injury management and has trained extensively in the area of concussion evaluation and management. Working in a n Athletic Medicine setting allows him to participate in the care of athletes throughout the continuum of care for concussions.

Erin Moore, M.Ed., LAT, ATC— Speaker for On Field Assessment and In Office Assessment

Erin is the Head Athletic Trainer for the University of Minnesota women’s hockey and cheerleading teams. She has experience providing direct medical coverage for men’s gymnastics, women’s swimming and diving teams and has unique experience in the area of concussion evaluation and management. She evaluates a variety of concussion presentations and works directly with athletes through the recovery process.

Erin Murphy, M.Ed, LAT, ATC— Speaker for Return to Learn Protocol

Erin Murphy is an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the University of Minnesota cross country and track and field teams. Her interest in concussion management peaked as a result of her own personal experience. Since then, she has completed a Master’s capstone at the University of Minnesota focusing on the lack of proper Return to Learn guidelines for student-athletes after a concussion. She also assisted in the development of an improved concussion management plan for Gopher student-athletes, as well as more detailed sport-specific Return to Play guidelines.

Jordan Knowlton-Key— Speaker for Return to Play Protocol

Dr. Knowlton-Key graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in December 2017 with an interest in sports medicine and chiropractic legislation. Following graduation, he began a sports fellowship at NWHSU under the tutelage of Dr. Tim Stark, and completed his Masters of Exercise Science with a capstone project focusing on the relationship between the cervical spine and concussion associated signs and symptoms. He had the spectacular opportunity to help instruct the Concussion Management Elective offered by NWHSU and continue to explore the rapidly shifting field of head injury and concussion. His goal is to educate chiropractors on the necessity to differentially diagnose the overly-hyped “concussion” and the vital role they possess in helping to restore patients effected by these conditions to optimal health.

Jodi Dorpinghaus, DC, CCSP— Speaker on Cases Studies

Dr. Broadbent, MD (CDI)— Speaker on Imaging considerations for Concussion
