DESCRIPTION:

We spend so much time learning techniques to improve our patient outcomes, but we rarely take time to look at the way we are acting in our minds and our body language and how that impacts patient outcome measures. Spend 60 minutes learning ways that you can improve your patient outcome measures by improving your emotional intelligence.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Learn which of the following are we able to control and why it matters? Thoughts, Focus, Body Reactions, Emotions, Behaviors, Performance.
  2. Learn what focus really means and how you dial in your focus to achieve better patient results.
  3. Learn the ins and outs of how professional athletes vs non-professional athletes want to be communicated with to get the best clinical outcomes.

SPEAKER

Karla (Solum) WolfordKarla (Solum) Wolford, DC, MS, CCSP, CSCS, ICSSD, CrossFit level 1/2 & Kids, USA Advanced Sports Performance Coach, Elevate Human Potential and EHP CrossFit

I enjoy helping and encouraging people find their potential. In my life, I am always striving to be “Better than Yesterday” and I encourage others to do the same. In a society where upwards towards 90% of people sit all day at work, teaching people how to move properly is one of the best gifts a doctor can give. As a Chiropractor and a coach in the Fargo-Moorhead area, I appreciate working with people who may be overcoming an old injury and finding ways to teach them how to move differently and more effectively to avoid future injuries. I have the ability to instill functional movements into the young and old alike.

I was born and raised in Barnesville, Minnesota. I pursued a pre-medicine undergraduate degree at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and majored in Biology and Exercise Physiology. I went on to graduate with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West and Summa Cum Laude from Logan University with a Master’s Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

Since then, I have become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), obtained my International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma (ICSSD), and Level 1&2 CrossFit trainer Certification and am a Level 2 USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.
