MCA Day at the Capitol

Join us at the State Capitol to meet with lawmakers about the critical issues that affect you and your patients.

Your voice at the Capitol is important — in fact, it’s vital for the success of your legislative agenda!

Dr. Chuck Sawyer will again schedule appointments on behalf of attendees with Minnesota House and Senate members and we will provide you with information focused on our legislative priorities.

Following the capitol visits, lunch will be provided while we hold the MCA 2020 Annual Business Meeting, and 4 CE credits (pending approval) will be offered in the afternoon featuring speakers Dr. Stephen Fridinger and Jeff Murray.

Stephen FridlingerChiropractic Radiology Case Studies


Dr. Fridinger will discuss the imaging of both common and not so common conditions that chiropractors will encounter in their practices. Both plain film and advanced imaging studies will be presented.

Learning objectives:

  1. Radiographic signs of different pathologies and conditions.
  2. When to order advanced imaging in different scenarios.
  3. Decision making between continuing chiropractic care vs referring out to another specialist

Stephen Fridlinger, DC, DACBR., is a board-certified chiropractic radiologist at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI). Dr. Fridinger completed his radiology residency at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota where he received his DC degree in 1998 and DACBR (Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology) in 2001. Dr. Fridinger’s professional affiliations include the American Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic College of Radiology, Council on Diagnostic Imaging, and Minnesota Chiropractic Association.

A discussion of the rules and laws regulating chiropractors regarding boundary violations and sexual misconduct with patients. Will look in depth into how failing to practice ethically can affect the ability to practice and how to avoid pitfalls.

Learning objectives:

  1. Review the applicable Minnesota State laws and rules governing chiropractic ethics.
  2. Discussion of the public policy goals behind the rules.
  3. In depth look into real case examples of chiropractic ethics violations

Jeff focuses his practice on helping injured people. He represents individuals with motor vehicle collision, workers’ compensation, slip & fall, and medical malpractice claims. His practice is nearly 100% devoted to litigation.

Jeff received his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. degree in Molecular Biology, with Honors in the Liberal Arts.

Jeff is licensed to practice law in both Minnesota and Florida. He is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice and a frequent lecturer on chiropractic ethics at the Dr. Dan Dock Continuing Education Seminars.
