Symposium Description:

Along with other organizations, the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association estimates that fraud costs the nation as much as ten-percent of annual health care expenditures – in excess of $230 billion in a $3.6 trillion industry. It comes in many forms including billing for services never provided, upcoding, performing unnecessary clinical services and accepting kick-backs for patient referrals.

While these and other fraudulent practices are rare in the chiropractic profession, in this symposium we will explore and discuss efforts of the Minnesota Chiropractic Association, the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Northwestern Health Sciences University to expose and prevent fraud, and advance professionalism at a high ethical standard in chiropractic practice.
