Judith Barnes

Judith Barnes

Ms. Barnes has over 35 years computer teaching and consulting experience. She has won numerous awards for her presentations throughout the USA. A highly creative person and problem-solver, she specializes in speech recognition and clinic/office automation techniques. She was formerly a computer instructor at University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics, and spent 13 years as a consultant for Unisys Corporation Worldwide Information Services. She has been specializing in chiropractic documentation since 1999.She is the CEO of Mighty Oak Technology, Inc., the makers of Chart Talk and DC Talk.

Dr. Scott Bergman is a Chiropractor, Board Certified Naturopath and a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner in Walnut Creek, California. Since 1993 he has been the director of Chiro Kinetics, an integrative health clinic combining Chiropractic Care, Rehabilitation, Pilates, Core Yoga Therapy, Functional Medicine and Biological Resonance. For over 25 years, Dr. Bergman has been presenting health, nutrition and fitness information internationally to a variety of business, education, social, and community groups.

Dr. Doug Broman

Doug Broman

Douglas Broman, DC, is a 1986 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic.  He has practiced in Maple Grove, Minnesota for the past 30 years.

Dr. Broman served as the MCA President in 2015. He also served on the No Fault Task Force at the legislature during his presidency. He is currently the chair of the MCA legislative committee.

Dr. Broman has received advanced certification from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego under the teaching of Arthur C. Croft, DC, PhD, MPH in 2016.

Dr. Broman's intention is to share his experience at the no fault task force combining current knowledge Re: Evidence-based, patient centered care regarding the treatment of patients who are injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision. His conviction is that honest, ethical, evidence-based care and a broad understanding of the current literature and community standard within our profession will help establish a fair and reasonable environment to protect the Doctor-Patient relationship and reduce conflicts with the No Fault insurance company.

Carol Brinkman

Carol Brinkman

Carol Brinkman, FNP-BC, formed the company FOREVER YOUNG TWO Medical as of February 2016 allowing her to fully utilize her over 3 decades of experience and bring to Central Minnesota an entirely new and holistic approach to patient treatment using a combination of traditional and non-traditional medical practices.

Carol has established significant name recognition in the Central Minnesota market and beyond. Carol believes her talents and patient treatment methods will provide the marketplace with a wanted and needed alternative to the large patient churn clinics that dominate Central Minnesota. Not only are her credentials and reputation impeccable, her dedication to long term patient health is unequaled and their results speak for themselves generating loyalty and referrals.

Dr. Buerger graduated from Life Chiropractic College-West in 1991. She also has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Fresno. She has enjoyed extensive post graduate training in the areas of neurodevelopment, functional neurology, neuronutrition and functional medicine. She currently has a private family practice in Ammon, Idaho that is dedicated to serving those with neurodevelopmental challenges, neurodegenerative disorders and chronic health issues. She is the pioneer in the chiropractic profession when it comes to working with children that have Neurosensory and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. She was an instructor for the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association for over a decade as well as an instructor at Life Chiropractic College-West. She also held a position on the Board of Regents for Life Chiropractic College-West.

Dr. Buerger lectures nationally and internationally on neurophysiology, functional neurology, functional biochemistry/nutrition and neurofunctional development. She is a contributing author to the text book Pediatric Chiropractic, Volume I and Volume II published by Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins with chapters on Pediatric History and Physical Exam, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Sensory Processing Disorder.

She is the founder of the Intersect4kids and Intersect4Life programs,, whose mission is: “To prevent disease in the unborn child, to promote proper neurodevelopment in the new born and to create a life of optimal health for all.” She combines the four key systems of the body: neuroimmune, neurogastric, neuroendocrine and neurosensory and their relationship to chiropractic care as well as the “3 M’s”, methylation, mitochondria and metabolism, in order to obtain optimal physical and mental health with all patients.

Allison Feigh

Alison Feigh, M.S. has been working in the sexual abuse prevention field for more than 17 years. She trains nationally on a variety of topics around abuse, abduction, and online exploitation. Ms. Feigh firmly believes that personal safety messages can be positive, empowering, and accessible.

Ms. Feigh serves as the Program Manager of the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, a program of Gundersen National Child Protection Training Center. She has worked with families of missing children and adults since 2000.

Alison previously worked as a minister to youth and children at a metro area faith community for six years. She continues to be inspired and reenergized by working directly with children and teenagers at camps, retreats and theatre companies.

Angela Graper, DC, CACCP, is passionate about helping the pediatric and prenatal/postnatal populations. Dr. Graper is certified in Webster technique and pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She also holds a certification in Nutrition. Dr. Graper loves helping people put the puzzle pieces together to achieve their health by combining neurology and functional medicine approaches. Dr. Graper is an entrepreneur, lifelong learner and a mother to two young boys. She is the founder of Family Focus Chiropractic in Chanhassen, MN.

Dr. Chris Major

Chris Major

Chris Major, DC, DACBR, ATC, is an associate professor in the department of diagnostic imaging at Northwestern Health Sciences University. He teaches courses on spinal anatomy, congenital anomalies, trauma, and arthritis. He is also the Director of Radiological Consultation Services at Northwestern, which provides interpretation services to private practice doctors, as well as plain film interpretation for the Center for Diagnostic Imaging. Prior to attending chiropractic school, Dr. Major graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Athletic Training, where he had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of athletes, including an internship with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. He is a chiropractor with a passion for radiology and teaching.

Dr. Erik Reis

Erik Reis

Dr. Erik Reis is a Chiropractic Physician and board-certified Chiropractic Neurologist at Minnesota Functional Neurology and Chiropractic. He received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating with magna cum laude honors, and graduated from the University of Minnesota with his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science with an emphasis in human motor performance in both athletic and therapeutic settings. Dr. Reis currently holds a diplomate in neurology from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) with the Brain Injury Association of America. He has completed numerous hours of additional post-graduate coursework utilizing clinical applications and therapeutic interventions in the neurological and nutritional rehabilitation of traumatic brain injuries, concussions, and vestibular disorders.

At MFNC, his practice primarily focuses on treating complex neurological disorders that range from traumatic brain injuries (TBI’s), sport-related concussions, vestibular-related disorders (Vertigo/Dizziness), complex regional pain syndromes (CRPS), headaches/migraines, and chronic pain syndromes. His treatments focus on individualized neurological rehabilitation protocols aimed at increasing physiologic function through sensorimotor training and neuro-orthopedic exercises. He emphasizes pain management and improving movement by utilizing corrective exercises, gait retaining protocols, and individualized neuro-muscular training programs fit for the specific needs of his patients. He also utilizes comprehensive nutritional and metabolic testing to address potentially limiting dysfunctions of the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. 

Dr. Reis believes the connection between neurological function and nutritional status is essential to understanding how to fully maximize brain function, which is why he takes a multifaceted approach to improving the brain health and overall wellness. 

Dr. Michele Renee

Dr. Michele Renee has a uniquely broad depth and breadth of education and clinical experience, starting with massage therapy and craniosacral therapy in 1998. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic since 2008 and her Master of Acupuncture in 2016. She is currently pursuing her Master of Health Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition. Special interests in health care include maternal, infant and pediatric health, integrative care, and chronic pain and disease management.

Serving as the Massage Program Director since 2015, Dr. Renee has been working at Northwestern Health Sciences University since 2008. She loves to share her enthusiasm for health and healing with her students and inspiring them as lifelong learners. In addition, she maintains a thriving private practice in Uptown Minneapolis where she provides chiropractic, functional medicine, acupuncture, and massage therapy with a team of other excellent practitioners at Stockheart Whole Health.

Dr. Tim Stark

Tim Stark

Timothy Stark, MPhil, DC, DACBSP, ICCSP, EMT, CSCS, FICC - originally from North Dakota, completed a bachelors degree in 1990 at North Dakota State University in Exercise Physiology and then went on to Northwestern College of Chiropractic where he completed his DC degree and subsequently pioneered an American residency in the specialty of Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation, at NW. He practiced in West Fargo, North Dakota for almost ten years before moving his family to Australia to assist with the development of a new chiropractic program at Murdoch University. He was also the Chair of the post-graduate and graduate programs including the Masters of Sports Science. While in Australia, he contributed to the development of a ‘sister’ chiropractic program in Japan

His publications are on the topics of physical rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. His current research efforts are directed towards Human Performance (injury prevention and recovery) and Rehabilitation.

In the last few years, he has transitioned from being a fulltime lecturer & Chair of the Clinical Sciences Department at National University of Health Sciences, to the Dean of the College of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University and now more recently, the Director of the Human Performance Center at NWHSU. He also coordinates the post-graduate educational programs for Northwestern Health Sciences University for the specialties of Sports Chiropractic and Physical Rehabilitation. He is the Chair of the Education Commission for the Federation of International Sports Chiropractic (FICS).

Recently, he humbly accepted awards from the American Chiropractic Association for being the 2017 Academician of the Year and the 2017 Sports Chiropractor of the Year.

Dr. Joe Sweere

Joe Sweere

Dr. Sweere is a Professor in the Clinical Sciences Division, College of Chiropractic, Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) in Bloomington, MN, USA. He is the founder and Director of the H.C. Sweere Center for Clinical Biomechanics and Applied Ergonomics located on the campus of Northwestern Health Sciences University. He was the first recipient of the Northwestern Distinguished Alumnus Award. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association; a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DABCO); and a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Occupational Health (DACBOH). He is a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors (FICC).

He has been honored as a two-time recipient of the NWCC Teacher of the Year Award (1990 and 2006); the 2002 Minnesota Chiropractic Association’s John Allenburg Meritorious Award, and the 2009 recipient of the MCA’s Outstanding Educator Award. In 2006 he received the Joseph Sweere Living Legacy Award from the Council on Occupational Health of the American Chiropractic Association. He was the recipient of the 2007 Brilliant Star Award at the NWHSU Stars Among Us Gala. Dr. Sweere is also the coordinator of NWHSU’s continuing education programs on Occupational Health and has been a member of the postgraduate faculty of ten chiropractic colleges.

Dr. Sweere practiced chiropractic in Owatonna, MN for twenty-five years and has been a full-time chiropractic educator since 1986. He is considered a leading authority on the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic, as well as occupational health, wellness and safety education.

Dr. Josh Woggon is a 2010 graduate of Parker University, and the Executive Director of the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to advancing chiropractic scoliosis treatment & research. He is the first chiropractor to be published in the scientific journal Scoliosis and Spinal Disorders, and has completed both the ISICO Scoliosis World Masters program and the Harvard Practices & Principles of Clinical Research course. He has written internationally-published articles on the topics of scoliosis, spinal rehabilitation, and whole-body vibration therapy, and currently co-teaches the CLEAR Scoliosis Seminars alongside his father, Dr. Dennis Woggon.
